Winter weather weary. Dreary beyond belief.

Hidden horizon hazy, the sun brings no relief.

Everything is frozen, imprisoned all in ice.

Stillness unrelenting like life locked in a vise.

Sterile, icy landscape in a thin and brittle skin

Of frozen fog and twilight, scarce warmth remains within.

A brutal box of ice filled locks and slippery steps outside,

The layers freeze on silent trees, and reflect the crystal tide.

[CHORUS]

The whole world is frozen,

Like time is standing still.

But soon spring will be chosen

To chase away the chill.

My life is in suspension like a book encased in glass.

A single page displayed, a brief moment set to pass.

Frozen, like the landscape, entombed in an icy day.

A moment of awe awaits the thaw of spring, and sprints away.
