In the state I live in, it is against the law to live with someone and not be married to them. This is not a law that is enforced to the strongest degree, but a law, none the less. There are some states that are harder on people for living together, so in those instances, I would not advise it. It used to be the "in thing" to wait until marriage to have sex, though now, a person barely makes it out of high school untainted. The world is changing every day.
Many people change when they move in with someone else. You relax more when you are at home, or maybe it isn't so much changing..as letting your true colors show. I have heard both good and bad arguments to support this subject my whole life. I believe the answer lies within each couple individually. I know some couples who have lived together as many as 20 years and are more than happy not to have the papers.
My husband and I lived together 2 years before we decided to get married. Some people just have the compatibility, I guess. I nurture, cook, clean, and work outside the home, I guess that's what won him over. It's important for couples to spend some time apart even when they do live together, or else they may get tired of the same old routine.
Live in relationships are good for the soul. They teach you to live with other people, to take care of what is yours, and to get along..or move on. I think a couple should consider living together, if only for a trial period before getting married. It is nice to know what you are getting your self in to.
