Missing Mom
My hands are too tall to effortlessly slide into her petite gray gloves
I knew they would be
But I try regardless and like a dead end street my long fingers halt
way too soon with no where to turn around
So, I back out slowly feeling the waves of where her essence had been
And, in my heart, a scatter like dandelions exploding
fling from the pods of my Soul as my skin traces the outline of her vibration
Quiet and vacant save for the compelling melody of love that sings within me
and soothes my lonely heart
