I am so excited to share
this wonderful advice I
once received from a
nice Austrian female
friend of mine from 1985.
This friend will remain
nameless, however
being the charming
person she was, she
says I can see into your
eyes and know your problem.
I thought to myself what
she only met me. What
could she possibly know
anything about me. Well
it was much deeper, she
read my soul and that is
saying something for a
friend of that magnitude
to come along once in a
lifetime, a person you barely
know says I know what your
problem is? So, here goes
I must have looked sad in my
expression on a outing she
and I were on. My friend said
you have been called stupid
from real young until
now as an adult woman, perhaps
when you started
grade school your teachers were
unable to reach through to you
with their teaching methods.
i see a very sad look, because
you should never have believed
them. I was told that moment
you are only as stupid as you
convince yourself you are, it has no
value of self acceptance. I never
should have believed it. Sound
wisdom. Love thyself unconditionally.
My friend told me. Light bulb moment.
Not believe the crap that might
be tossed at you no matter what.
Smile. Peace.

This Is Me: Like It or Not
I know who I am,
I am simply being me,
I carry no false pretenses.
I know what I do,
I am aware of
I am me.
That's not much.
I am me.
That's enough.
I may not be perfect.
I may not be thin.
Sometimes I feel like life,
Is a game
Whatever my ill
I accept me
Whatever my thrill
I accept me
Wherever I have to go
I accept me

Whatever my mental state
I am not
When you don't know who you are,
When things seems bleak and hopeless,
There is no one who can help you on earth,
But there
