Adventure Chronicles is a fairly new hidden objective game created by a developers studio known as Gogii Games. While being a sequel to their previous game titled Escape The Museum, Adventure Chronicles brings a new spin on the series with a complete story of its own.

During Adventure Chronicles: The Search For Lost Treasure the main character, Susan, goes on a massive treasure hunt with the help of a mysterious letter accompanied by a journal with clues and hints to the worlds most valuable treasures. She travels to five regions in search of different treasures detailed in the journal.

Game Play

Hidden object games tend to get very repetitive over time, Adventure Chronicles doesn't shy away from this tradition. During the game players are shown a scene in which they must find hidden objects which are also listed on the side of the screen. Most of the objects are easy, but they can become challenging as some of them are camouflaged by the scenery.

Besides that, hidden in scenes are tools which aid Susan in her quest to find the treasures. For example players can find and use a hammer to break objectives open, or just the item finder tool which operates like a metal detector for items. With every scene is a special item that can be viewed later by players at the museum.

One of the first treasures that Susan must find is the Great Civil War Treasure which takes Susan across the United States. However other treasures take Susan to destinations around the world, and the story just keeps getting better. Although repetitive in game play, Adventure Chronicles is very entertaining at first.

Graphics

There isn't much to brag about when it comes to the graphics of Adventure Chronicles although the cut-scenes that are shown are very comic book style. Though the cut-scenes feature no movement from characters what so ever, they do tell the story well. Regarding the up side to graphics featured in this game are the detailed menus and the vivid scenes where items are hidden.

Sounds

Shockingly enough during the cut-scenes of Adventure Chronicles, players are greeted by characters with voices. Most independent style games don't have such features due to cost issues, but this being in Adventure Chronicles adds new levels of details for the story. Throughout the game players can hear the voices of characters and even the items used, which is pretty amazing.

Creativity & Innovation

While Adventure Chronicles is nothing special when it comes to hidden object games, it does have good points to it. The graphics and sound are amazing, but when it comes to the repetitiveness the game lacks replay value. When it comes down to it the game may be worth the purchase price to some, but for others it may be worth it just sticking to Indiana Jones films.
