My husband and I have delegated chores. I stay at home with the kids, so I do most of the household stuff... dishes, cooking, grocery shopping. My husband is a soldier, so I figure he does more than his part at work, therefore, he gets it pretty easy at home. I only ask that he takes out the garbage, does laundry (he's actually very good at it), and keeps his clothes, especially his uniforms, picked up and tidy. He cleans the car, mainly because he drives it way more than I do, and he likes to keep it looking good. He also likes to do the yard work. I do have to remind him once in a while of what he needs to do, but we've been married 3 years now, and I've found out that I get far better results if I ask him nicely instead of yelling at him. The second I start yelling, his ears shut down! If he really doesn't listen, then I stick a note in his pocket, listing what needs to be done. Mainly, it just works out nice for us, he does the chores that he cares about and doesn't mind tending to, and I get out of the ones that I'm not particularly fond of.
