In the perilous world of love and hate two things stand out like the sun and moon
What if by the sun we see our faults and misguided impressions of one another
What if by the moon we see the darkness that falls inevitably then the light shines back at us so bright it could light the universe
Where do we go when the pain becomes so inextricable that our thoughts begin to writhe within the infinitely minute cavity above our eyes
Tyranny rules in this place

Traces of pain,
coursing through my veins.
Tugging at tubes,
willing my arms to move.
Pushing a button,
unconscious of reaction.
