" Excuses "
Excuses he makes
Having no remorse
With no cause
His actions are not by force
A man of his own will
He has noone to blame
Self inflicted scars
Life seems like a game
Each time he drinks
Holds anger towards the world
Struggling deep inside
Having no reguard for his girl
She feels at fault
For his addictions
He has no reality
For his own self inflictions
Once he started
He lost all control
Each time he drinks

Hold my friend in your warm embrace,
Come draw him now after You
Your delivering work in him
An Addicts Loss
All of my stolen dreams
Nothing is as it appears or seems
When will you truly look at me and realize
Addict friends where are your minds?
Did they flitter on the wind left behind?
Are your dreams in color or are they white,
Or
Soft whisper from her trembling lips.
With tears upon her face.
She speaks of sheer denial.
