It can be difficult to find trendy and unique plus size clothing, but it isn't impossible. You may think that Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, and Catherine's are your only plus size retail options, but there are many wonderfully trendy independent plus size retailers online. These independent plus size retailers often sell unique and exclusive trendy plus size fashions you won't find anywhere else.

Before you go shopping online for clothes, you should take your measurements. Write them down and keep them handy while you shop. Sizes can vary widely from retailer to retailer. Your best bet at getting a good fit is to ALWAYS checking the size charts for the garments that captured your interest. Some sites have a general size chart guide, while others have independent charts based on that unique item, so it's always best to click through from that garment's page to be sure you have the most accurate size chart.

Okay, once you have your measurements handy, you are ready to shop! Here are my three favorite online plus size retailers.

Another fantastic plus size retailer for trendy fashions is B & Lu. Seriously, it will be impossible to visit the B & Lu site and not fill your shopping cart with all kinds of great trendy clothes. The site is easy to navigate and you MUST visit their sale and clearance section for amazing bargains. Best of all, B & Lu also caters to the super sized crowd - we all want to look good no matter what size we are, and B & Lu fits the bill.

My last trendy plus size online retailer is Kiyonna. While pricier than the other two sites, Kiyonna has a unique style that is both trendy and classic and you will keep the pieces you buy there as wardrobe staples for a long time. I still get compliments on a fitted T-shirt I bought from Kiyonna almost 5 years ago.
