The morality of the hunt for men and women

Honestly, I have yet to hear a good moral argument against hunting.

Hunting, as long as it is done legally, is not cruel to animals. In many ways, it is less cruel than Mother Nature. Animals die a thousand longer or more painful deaths in the wild at the hands of other animals or the elements. Most skilled hunters kill an animal almost instantly.

For those that call hunting "barborous", it is actually a lot less inhumane than the way animals raised for food are often treated. At least hunted animals are allowed to run free and reproduce before they are killed, unlike the millions of slaughtered animals people consume every day. Often times stock animals are raised in very cramped and uncomfortable conditions.

The bottom line, though, is that animals are not humans. Humans are biologically "animals", but there is obviously something very different that sets us apart from the animal kingdom. Some call it a soul, others argue we are just much more advanced. Either way, if someone is against killing animals because it is taking life, they should also be against killing and eating vegetables. It's only logical. After all, vegetable live and breathe as well, they just aren't near as cute or advanced as animals.
