Depends on which magic you speak of. There is 2 kinds of magic. Magic and Magick. To begin, why are there two? The reason for this is because of misconceptions and stereo types. Then there is all the falsities you see on tv or at a play or some of the real weird people out there..lol.. Anyhow the first, Magic is what you see magicians do. For example pulling a rabbit out of a hat or sawing someone in half. This type of magic is just pretend, something designed to entertain and fool the onlooker. It can also be used poorly like anything else and used to harm.

Then there is true Magick. The K is added to help separate the two. Magick is real and can be used for good or bad. Inherently Magick is not evil in any way shape or form. And when you think of magick please, please don't start comparing it to movies and think that someone is going to fall from the sky on a broom and fry you with bolts of lightning, then send in their black cat to finnish you off.. lol.. Magick is very real and exists on its own with no need of human influence. But generally magick is the manipulation of energies that flow through everything in existence, people, animals, rocks, earth, etc. This energy is what makes magick possible. When someone performs magick they are just bending and or changing the flow of this energy in a specific direction. To do this takes practice and more practice and doesn't always work the first time. And it's something you will never truly master, it's an ongoing learning and spiritual process.

Magick is practiced by everyone whether they realise it or not or even call it something different. Miracles, praying, tossing a coin in a wishing well, lighting candles at ceremonies, etc. Which means you don't have to be a witch, wiccan, christian, satanist or any other similar title to do or practice some sort of magick. There are many ways of practicing magick, candles, wands, charms, talismans, potions, prayers, spell casting and so on. As mentioned before you don't make magick, you are using magick so you don't need any of the tools mentioned or any other to do it. Magickal tools are to help focus energy toward what ever your trying to accomplish. Different things are believed to have there own attributes and can direct energy or boost it. Many in pagan cultures believe you are more powerful if you practice and do magick skyklad (nude). Sex also called the great rite is supposed to be a major energy booster. I can go on and on about this and so can many others. But anyhow magick is not a product of human intelligence, although a few smarts are needed to make a conscious effort to bend it to your will.
