My heart awakens each morning

As your smile makes me weak in the knees

I wrap my arms around you slowly

Knowing it's you I want only to please.

We've shared the ups and downs of life

Felt the pains of a raging sea

Even when I felt my weakest

You kept me from claiming defeat

We make time for the morning coffee

Over talks about errands and bills

Things important enough to matter

But without you my world would stand still.

I'll never regret what we started

I'll never deny what I feel

For the woman who gave me a lifetime

Of promises in a love all to real

Our friends said it would never last

The roads were destined to end

We knew all along that love has no rules

This journey we share will defend.
