and sometimes I know I find it hard when things change like when they have different lessons at school and things get changed but I just need someone to explain things to me.
Sometimes I get mad and I know I get angry but it is frustrating when everyone turns away when I really do try to talk to people. I do want fiends and I want to fit in but I cannot.
Asperger's is a syndrome which means we who suffer from it need to show various things to get a diagnosis. We need to be sure in social situations (like school) and find it hard to interact with others. Apparently, this is me!
We also need to be unable to understand the nuances, body language and subtleties displayed by others- this, too is me apparently.
Living each day, having to go to school and interact is very very hard and I get so tired because, not only do I have extra lessons because I am 'so clever' but I am also having to cope with each lesson, new people, a different class room and seat and sometimes a change of teacher - which really puts me out of sorts. I worry at night because I do not know what the next day might bring and I know it worries my parents.
Asperger's is difficult to live with and there are a wide range of symptoms but I am in a club where lots of people with 'Autustic spectrum disorders' go and I like it there because we all think the same.
Sammy asked me to explain what Asperger's is and I hope this makes you understand just a little. From Andrew aged 12.
