Meditating is way to get the balance between body- mind- and soul.
Meditating is not concentrating. In addition, concentrating basically will make you feel anxious. Concentrating is a part of meditating, so meditating is not only sat down quietly for a couple minutes or hours.
What is the purpose of meditating? The purpose of meditating is to obtain beautiful quiet feeling and mind. In a quiet environment, soul performance will increase and influence physical and mental performance to get the balance between power and health.
As we know, human composed from body, mind and soul (spirit). Moreover, soul itself is the life resource, power resource, and also ability resource. In this current situation where the formal and informal education focused on mental ability, soul (spirit) ability is left behind. This condition leads to imbalance condition of body- mind- and soul. The imbalance between them is restored by meditating.
How can we determine meditating? Meditating highly related with human brain wave. In normal condition (awake), brain in Beta wave (12-15 Hz). The next step is Alpha wave (8-12 Hz), this condition is quiet and sub conscious condition. The last step is Theta wave (4-8 Hz), emotional memories are saved in this part and entering the deepest part of human mind. If someone is meditating, he must enter those step, or at least the Alpha wave.
We will have a healthy and happy life, as the result of regular meditating. Furthermore, sometimes it will increase human hidden ability and skill.
The meditating result is achieved through regular exercise in a long time. The basic principles in meditating are; willingness, concentrating, and feel. Hard work and regular exercise must be done to get the best result. This rule is similar with life rule, which is no pain no gain. Hard work is not enough, but skill also needs to be applied to drive the energy to the right direction and.
What can us meditating? There are several steps in basic meditating, which are:
Concentrating:
Sitting cross-legged with straight buttocks and head. Put our hands along with our body, and all of our muscles in relax condition. Sit down in relax position.
Focusing all of our attention (mind and imagination) to one spot, one meter in front. Let our eyes sheaths close slowly, and do not force them.
If we have relaxed condition, do not change our position and do nothing. Do not pay attention if we get a little pain or hurt, just focus on our nose. Feel the breath in our nose but do not stare at our nose. Let the breathe rhythm flows naturally, and do not force it. When we feel the breath, we only focused at our nose.
Feel the process (mindfulness)
If we have good flow of breathing, then we should pray and wish what we want, example; God please give me peaceful, strength, or happiness.
Feel the vibration or power from outside (God's power) comes to our head and spread to all parts of our body. Feel and enjoy this process. When you satisfy enough, we can move our body slowly, feel our hands and feet, and open our eyes slowly.
