Songs: Sunshine

by Ryan Thomas

Created on: February 05, 2009

Verse 1:

I was sitting in my bedroom,

In the dark, in the gloom,

The clock just ticked away,

As I waited for another day,

Verse 2:

The room was damp and grey,

Just like the cold falling rain,

I tried to look through the clouds,

But couldn't see through my doubt,

Pre-chorus:

But then I realized,

That even though the sunshine,

Didn't hit my eyes,

It was there, it was there,

Chorus:

Even when I can't see, I still must believe,

The storms will come, the rain will fall,

Sometimes I think the sun isn't shining at all,

And even though I'm scared,

I know the sun's still there,

Even if it just shines on the clouds.

Verse 3:

As I looked out through my window,

The rain had turned to snow,

And through the bitter cold,

The sun began to show,

Verse 4:

It light the snow-filled sky,

With a soft, golden light,

The clouds released their hold,

To reveal a world covered in gold
