There is no need to worry! This is a phrase I have heard most of my life. I have had a time though figuring out how not to worry. I spent most of my years on this planet worrying about something. Worry seemed to be a special part of life that most people I knew were surrounded by, yet the same one who told me I was too young to worry were worriers themselves. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /

I remember my grandmother always worried about her children and grandchildren especially when they got sick or were living a lifestyle that she did not approve of. My grandfather worried about my grandmother when she worried about the rest of the family. My mother worried about her children and what they were in to. My aunts worried about their husbands and their jobs. My sitter worried about her house keeping skills and if some one would criticize them or not. There was so much to worry about and yet I was constantly told I was too young to worry.
I wonder how old is old enough to really be allowed to worry. When is it o.k. to perfect that skill so many people have? When is it that you graduate from being too young? Is worry a good thing or not, and if not why do we do it so much?
There are answers to all these questions I am sure and for the life of me I was going to find out. I am currently 51 years old and there are still people older than me who tell me I should not have a care in this world, wait until I get a little older then I will have to worry about my health and things more important like that.
I remember reading my bible several times over the years and never really getting everything I read the first time. I have read over and over again the scripture in Matthews's gospel that tells us not to worry because GOD has everything under control but not until it was brought to my attention did I get it. There is no real need to worry about anything because we can not change most of what we worry about anyway. What ever we can change if it will make things better then we should change them and not worry about them.
GOD has all things under his control even when we do not like or understand what is going on. I believe HE uses all that happens in our lives to perfect us in different ways. Worrying is not supposed to be a big part of the program instead we are supposed to call upon HIM when we do not understand and allow HIM to fix things. We should be like little children and just know things will work themselves out for the best in the end. I believe we will all sleep much better in the end if we do make a habit of turning our worries over to GOD.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY
You don't have to worry
When your heart is full of pain
You don't have to worry
When the pains of life do reign
You will find a way
You will seek GOD that day
You don't have to worry any more
When your sleep gets robbed
You toss and turn
You don't have to worry
Because your peace was earned

Loving
Savior came
He looked into your future
And said they've got to use my name
And on the cross
He gave his life
So that you could be free
You don't have to worry
HE died for you and me
I am convinced, that worry should be a thing of the past for us all. We simply must learn to lean on GOD and all will work itself out in end. HE sees the bigger picture.
