Tree On Fire...
she is tall, but her nails are not long.
her knees hurt when the weather changes.
she does not become physically ill easily,
but she is quick to become moody and sad.
it is because she knows she has inflicted pain on others.
and that they do not understand it was not on purpose.
she feels as though a stand-still figure amidst a whirlwind of
moving bodies,
flashing around her as blurs.
she likes the dark, but she felt before afraid of it.
now she welcomes it.
the darkness of a bar,
the darkness of a drink,
the aloneness of the dark.
she likes to crunch leaves when she walks in the fall.
she loves the color of the tree outside her apartment,
a blazing red in the cool of the day.
it burns in her eyes as the most beautiful color she has ever seen.
she needs a little love to ease the pain of herself.
she feels sad. but she feels good a lot of the time.
life is here. it always has been.
she just hasn't been looking hard enough.
she feels sorry for herself sometimes.
but its ok.
many do.
even though to her they are just blurs
that sometimes resemble people.
she wishes for many things.
but mostly for the blurs in her life to stand still for a moment,
and see that she is sorry.
and good.
