Honestly, I do not know how people think that throwing a large amount of money at either bankers and industries is going to help anybody. I know in the past, along with others, I've said that perhaps that money should go to U.S. Citizens, but even if it did, you seriously have to question whether this is going to help anybody in the end. Even if we all received plenty of money to get out of debt, would the economy survive? I seriously doubt it, and our income and resources are all tied into the economic system of the United States to a great degree. Unless we reverted to a completely new way, a new system, everything would have to "break down" first.
Some people think that that is what the government wants, do you? I am not so sure, but one thing is for certain: things cannot go on as they have! All the money we are pumping into this useless war, first of all, that's a really huge issue for me as it is for the majority of the American people. No, I do not think that the average taxpaying citizen even wants this war, yet it continues, to the detriment of the economy and our livelihood.
Unless we want to be thrown back into a new Middle Ages, it's really quite essential that this war be stopped. NOW. Nothing else will impact that economy as much as the war. Even the money that we're giving to this corrupt banking system cannot compare to the damage that the war is incurring on our economy. Enough is enough. Nobody wants this war anymore. Not the Americans, and not the middle eastern peoples.
It's time to focus on our own land, our own people. Instead of wasting all that money and killing all of those innocents over in the middle east, let's use that money to create better education and funding for colleges; more student aid; food for our poor and hungry; social services; and of course, fix the broken health care system, medicare, and social security. Where do we think that we are heading in ten or twenty years from now? If we do not take care of this issue now, we will never dig a hole out of it, in fact, we won't even have a shovel! Funny thing is, no one in government seems to be heeding our cries and our call to end this war, so where are the representatives who are supposed to be representing us regarding this? That's what I would like to know. I also do not know why we don't have normal, average people representing us, rather than rich folk who don't understand our plight or don't care.
