Songs: Longing

by Diane Mackenzie

Created on: February 04, 2009

If I can't have a kiss
Then I can settle for a smile,
If I can't have all night,
Then I'll take just a little while.
If you can't let me love you,
The way I really do,
Then I will always love you
The way you want me to.

And I do,
I love you more,
More than you will ever know,
More than you will ever see,
I love you more,
More than I could ever show,
More than I could ever be.
I love you more

If I can't hold you tight,
Then I can settle for sweet dreams
If I can't say it right,
Somehow, you still know what I mean
If you give me an inch
I promise not to take a mile,
And when you say the words,
Well, I can read between the lines

And I do,
I love you more,
More than you will ever know,
More than you will ever see,
I love you more,
More than I could ever show,
More than I could ever be.
I love you more
