Toss of the Dice
Swirling around, around
floating light flurries; white
to the ground
Silently falling, gently calling
calling and changing
the night into mourning
Quickening the pace;
like homespun lace
The mind sets still
from the heavenly spill
Escaping the roar
of torments dark door,
upon the earthly plane
where men run insane;
all vying for power;
not the heroes' hour
Ice turns to rain,
remaining the same;
each snowflake design
is one of a kind;
They're dancing and spinning;
is man ever winning?
Too busy to notice,
the heavenly votive
Bellowing blankets of white,
lying upon trees in sight
Artificial they seem
Is truth just a dream?
Now rain turns to ice
Who's tossing the dice?
Minds gone still from
mans great spill!
