Looking for adventure in the far reaches of space? Well, now is your chance, you have been selected to pilot the experimental X-01! Blast off to protect Earth's forces against dangers from alien ships and weapons. Embark on 48 action-packed missions, each with unique goals and captivating storyline.

The graphics are sharp, yet don't require a super computer to play. There are tons of unique ships and environments with stunning detail, even battle damage! A good variety that's sure to make you say "whoa" each time you encounter a new enemy type. An on-screen display of your ship's condition as well as mission objectives makes it easy to keep your eyes focused on blasting baddies into oblivion. An on-screen radar lets you easily decipher friend from foe with color coded blips. The blips even relate to the size of objects, just don't jump into the escape pod when you see a huge red dot on your radar.

The controls are easy enough to pick up as soon as you set off on your first mission. As you progress you will learn to handle the X-01 with precision as you avoid incoming fire and blast through asteroids. You even have the option to play with a joystick or game pad if your keyboard just isn't enough. The only downside when playing with a keyboard is not being able to hold down the fire button(auto-fire), propel forward and steer at the same time; but tapping fire works just fine!

Music in the game keeps pace with the action and story enough to compliment the game play without stealing all the attention. There are unique sounds for every shot of your lasers to the launch of deadly rockets! You wont need a home theatre sound system to enjoy these effects.

Rick Rocket plays similar to an asteroids style game, but adds innovative features like shields, multiple weapon upgrades, super bombs, and even the ability to repair damage to your X-01. Challenge yourself with three difficulty settings and use multipliers to increase your scores! Multiple pilot profiles lets others compete on the same system. Complete your mission challenges to hone your tactics, then unleash all you've learned and destroy powerful bosses!
