Songs: My wife

Lie

VERSE 1

Thoughts floating by

Just like ducks on the pond of my mind

How could she lie to me?

In the end it's the same

I don't want to know her name anymore.

CHORUS

So pour me a drink

I've got one lie to think about

It could take the rest of the night

Hit me with another one

I won't leave till it's done

I don't want to know her name

I don't want to know her name

VERSE 2

She fell like the wind

Now she's gone like the rain

How could she lie to me?

There ain't no kind of beer

That can help me to clear what remains

BRIDGE

What I've got to do

Is get my mind to stop thinking

Since we are through

I'll just sit here and keep on drinking
