(First Light Ambrosia)
Sipping from morning's chalice
while steam rises from the rim
a day begins, it's our to win
wouldn't want it any other way
Minds drift on the aroma
as lips settle on the brim
seize this day, and all that may
be delivered to us on dawn's wind.
First light ambrosia
revive these old souls
beaten and trampled by time
We need to get up and go
and as you well know
without you we cannot survive.
Mouths embrace your flavor,
savoring warmth upon our tongues
this ritual, that's habitual
must linger before we move on.
By now are mugs are near empty
but we are not yet ready to stop
quickly we race, it's all in the chase
to fill up without spilling a drop.
First light ambrosia
revive these old souls
beaten and trampled by time
We need to get up and go
and as you well know
without you we cannot survive.
