Songs: Longing

by Elizabeth Robinson

Created on: February 03, 2009

1ST VERSE:

So many nights alone in my bed

so many thoughts whirl in my head

so many hours thinking of you

I wish, oh I need you beside me instead.

Too many minutes, too many days,

missing and needing you, so many ways

my heart is in pieces, my soul it is yearning

sleep hard to come by, mind in a daze.

CHORUS:

Theres a longing that I just can't hide anymore

Theres a feeling I can't keep inside anymore

Theres a love that is waiting for you to come home.

And a lady that's tired of being alone.

2ND VERSE:

So many days when I'm thinking of you

so many times that you think of me too

too many hours apart and alone

I wish, Yes, I wish that I knew what to do.

Too many lonely nights sleeping alone.

too many minutes I wait by the phone.

Let's find a way; be together again.

Let's find a way to bring you back home.

CHORUS:

Theres a longing that I just can't hide anymore

Theres a feeling I can't keep inside anymore

Theres a love that is waiting for you to come home.

And a lady that's tired of being alone.
