ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WERE TWO BROTHERS
Ones name was Obvious
And the other Oblivious
About each other they both had their fears
Never getting on
From dusk till dawn
Obvious
Was very meticulous
Oblivious
Was never very cautious
Competing in business
The loser would always curse
In a small town they stayed
In a small town their tension heavy weighed
Obvious
Would never leave anything to chance
But was always curious
How his slow brother managed to advance
The fact people loved Oblivious left him furious
Oblivious
Took everything in his stride
He could never understand why his brother was always serious
He thought his brother was too full off pride
Obvious never shared and always remained mysterious
One morning the brothers met at the local market
It was nothing unusual each trying the other to outwit
Obvious stood alone
Oblivious stood with many friends
All willing helping hands
Obvious was about to groan
When he spotted a beautiful lady open a new stall
Through the corner of his eye he watched her blonde hair
All the other men stared one and all
Except for Oblivious buying his personal wear
Obvious could not believe his eyes
He knew his brother would never realize
He walked up to her table
But he knew not one charming fable
He asked the price of every small thing
Hoping the conversation she would bring
Tired she became
And saw through his nervous game
She asked herself to be quickly excused
Obvious nervous impolite words had her ears abused
Obvious took his leave
Knowing he had no good game plan up his sleeve
In the corner he sat
Sad he couldn't charm the beauty he just met
Oblivious was walking past her stall
He noticed something hanging behind her on the wall
He asked the price
The lady thought he only wanted her to entice
She let out a sigh
And to get him excused gave the price sky high
Oblivious thought the price a bargain
And bought the item immediately for his garden
He took his own leave quick then
Surprised she wondered if he had a plan
For she had never before seen such a humble man
Obvious had been watching
For her his fingers were itching
He decided to break his own rule
Without analyzing the plot he tried to play cool
He took a chance
Walked up to her and asked her to the weekend dance
Bemused
And amused
She said yes on one condition
Obvious would have to give her an introduction
An introduction to the man who just bought the expensive item
Obvious went grim
And hastily said yes
Knowing against his brother's charm he was in a mess
Obvious chased after his brother and explained the story
Oblivious wondered which women

They lived in a forest

What was yours was yours
And what was mine was mine
But since we have met,
