Songs: A snowy day

by Elizabeth Robinson

1ST VERSE

One winter day I had to go

to work one day, yes, through the snow.

It was so cold, so wintery blue.

I wished, No more!". The wish came true.

I saved my money; said good-bye.

I told my friends who wondered why.

I bought my ticket, had to go

and ended up in Mexico.

CHORUS 1

Oh those winters were so chilly

January in the sun.

No more winters. That was silly.

All year long with summer fun!

2ND VERSE

Now all that I have to say

I never want to live that way

All that clothing, hats and boots

even though I left my roots.

Miss my country, miss my friends,

but here the sunshine never ends

One thing I'm sure, in Mexico

I'll never see a day of snow!

CHORUS 2

So now I am eatin chilly

sleeping long my siesta.

No more winters. That was silly.

Now each day is fiesta!
