There was a time i would wake up with thoughts of you in my head,
There was a smile on my face and my heart raced with my breath.
There was a time when i felt so alive and your words gave me life
Gave me nice things inside and made me think about love
And how it should be between a couple.
But now i must travel alone.
I let go of your hand and let go of the man
who gave me the most wonderful dreams and songs.
I came out of your arms and now i walk chilled but it has to be
I can no longer be there.
You go back to your thing and i do mine.
But I will always remember that there was a time.
