First dates can be stomach churning because you are putting yourself out there. Females knit pick every detail of their hair and face. We paint on layers of make-up to make some guy go "wow". Nobody wants to spend $100 dollars on a fancy meal at some uptight restaurant. How could you possibly forget the dim lighting and awesome decor. You should take your date to a place that will leave a lasting impression.
1. Dave and Busters. Who doesn't like good food and playing arcade games? There is liquor for all you 21+ adults. The environment might not be exactly quiet but it is good for breaking the ice.
2. Parks. You can sit on a bench and look at the night sky arrayed with lights. Maybe even swing on the swings like you are 5 years old again. This is a nice way to really learn about the other person without feeling suffocated by strangers.
3. Ice skating/hockey. Not everyone has grace and moves when it comes to in line skates. This could be a perfect way to laugh and help each other up when you fall down. Hockey is a good way show off your skills and teach her a thing or two.
4. A concert. If you are into indie bands or unknown acts this could be the perfect time to watch your favorite band. You can show her your musical taste and hope that her ears don't bleed.
5. The beach/lake. You should pack up some little snacks and bring a blanket. Watch the waves crash as you sit close to one another. This is the perfect time to have a conversation about whatever you want.
6. The Zoo. Not all zoo's are free but most are. You can laugh at the monkeys and take goofy pictures. This involves a lot of walking and exercise. Which might be ideal for your date if she enjoys it.
7. Rent a movie. Perhaps you can go to a red box and pick out a film for a dollar. All you need is a couch and maybe some popcorn. Turn off the lights and watch the show unfold.
8. Volunteer. Maybe you two are both passionate about a cause. Perhaps you can donate blood or petition something important. This is a way to bond and make a difference.
9. Dancing. Now this isn't for everyone because night clubs can be cheesy or crowded. If you don't go to a club then why not make one in your basement. Put on some tunes and put that strobe light to use.
10. Flea market. Not everyone likes antiques or cheap stuff. Who knows maybe your date is a huge Star Wars buff. You can buy her a couple of things without breaking the bank.
There are countless ideas for a first date on a budget. Do not limit yourself to new and inventive ideas. Set yourself apart from the pack and take the girl on a date she will never forget.
