There are several ways you can boost your immune system naturally. You don't need to rely on pills to protect yourself from sickness.
Eat More Fresh Food
We live in a culture of over processed, quick food products. You can protect yourself by eating more fresh produce and fruit. Many fruits and vegetables provide natural boosters to your immune system. Dark green vegetables like broccoli and lettuce greens should be eaten more often. All vegetables are good for your body in various degrees and provide the nutrition your body needs to build its defenses against disease. Fruit such as blueberries, oranges, lemons, bananas and grapes help to rid your body of disease causing bacteria. Most people simply don't get enough of these natural foods that help protect us against diseases. These foods are natural cancer fighters. Increasing your produce consumption is the first step to better immune health.
Get More Sleep
Your body needs rest to help defend against disease. Try to aim for eight hours or more each night. Some people can get buy on six. We sleep more when we are sick as this helps our bodies recover. Don't let yourself get run down as this can lower your immunity to diseases.
Exercise
Get some daily exercise and help your body get stronger. Exercise improves the function of the heart, improves circulation, strengthens muscles and lung function. Sweating helps our body eliminate toxins. Try going for a walk or purchase a piece of exercise equipment. Getting active can help build your immunity. You can try meditation and yoga exercises too. Relaxation techniques can help calm the body. Try to exercise thirty minutes each day. The trick is to do this gradually. You don't need to stress and strain your body.
Drink More Water
We all need to stay hydrated. Replace heavy soda and coffee consumption with more water. Water helps our organs and internal systems like digestion work properly. Without proper water intake we lower our bodies ability to fight disease.
Limit Sugar
Try to avoid the intake of excessive amounts of sugar. Most sugar foods contain little to no nutrition our body needs to function. An occasional teat is ok but living off these sweet foods is not recommended. Our bodies turn these empty calorie foods into fat instead of using the vitamins and minerals that are normal found in food to protect the body. These foods may taste good but they do nothing beneficial for us. If you crave sweets try fruit which has natural sugar and can boost your energy.
Boosting your immunity doesn't have to involve expensive pills. Get exercise, eat well, get adequate fluids in the form of water and sleep more. These methods will naturally boost your energy and immunity from disease.
