Welcome to St. Louis. Come on in we have tons of thing for you to see and much for you to do. If you have kid's and you are on a tight budget, don't worry we have something for you. Take a trip to our wonderful zoo. You can get close to the animal's and see how they live in a close resembled natural habitat. Yes it is free to walk around and explore all of the wonderful animal beauty that surrounds you. Only for a few bucks can you enjoy a train ride through the whole zoo. To pet the animals for the kiddies there is a couple of dollar fee, but well worth it. They always have a face painter on staff, Which is a delight for all. There is even a carousel to enjoy! www.stlzoo.org
Our art museum will amaze you. We have a lot of nice artifacts and paintings that will enlighten your mind and enhance your inner artistic self. The building itself is amazing and beautiful. The Art museum is always free. If you would like to catch an egypt or dinosaur exhibit that they have planned you may have to pay a few dollars just as if you were to go see a movie. Again it's well worth it! www.stlouis.art.museum
The Science Center is one of my favorites, Yes! You guess it, Also free. The Science Center is filled with many fun science facts. They have a lot of interesting hands on experiments for people of all ages. You can build the St. Louis Arch out of these stuffed pillows. See how the effects of wind can travel past buildings. Watch a wonderfully mastermind ball maze from their ceiling to the ground floor. You can visit a mock house that shows you about waste and hazard materials. They too usually have someone like a mad scientist on staff showing off experiments. As with all things free you can also pay just a few extra dollars and go to the Omnimax, which saying is like a movie theater is a huge understatement. It has 15,000 watts of sound system that plays on a high-fidelity, 70MM motion picture screen. It really tricks you into believing you are there in the movie. Which is cool when you watch about stars to animals. www.slsc.org
Saint Louis is packed with many fine restaurants. If you like Italian I recommend going to what we know here as a little area called "The Hill" There are so many Italian restaurant to choose from of course I have a little favorite of my own. If you get a chance you must stop by Cunetto's House of Pasta. The food is great and the hospitality goes without saying very pleasant. A relaxed and warm restaurant. Prices are very reasonable.
