Finding work at home jobs

The net provides a wealth of opportunities for people who are looking for a job where they can work from the comfort of home. From affiliate marketing to paid content sites to creating a blog, writing product reviews, customer service, and freelancing, people looking for a job where they can work at home using the net now have a wealth of ways to make money at their fingertips.

This article takes a look at 10 ways people can use the net to work at home and make money.

1) Freelancing. Using Guru and GetAFreelancer, people can bid on freelance projects. Sologig is similar with the exception of bidding on projects.

2) Ebay. People who want to make money selling products on the popular auction website eBay must keep in mind two cardinal rules in order to be successful. First and foremost, the person must be aware that in setting up shop on eBay, he or she is essentially a business with a store, only by means of electronics rather than bricks. Secondly, the person must sell niche products in hot demand.

3) Secret Shopping. Like a CIA agent, the mystery shopper works undercover to ferret out bad customer service and acknowledge the good. The person is paid to order pizza, look around for an apartment, shop at a store, get an oil change, or even dine at a fancy restaurant for two. After each "shop," the person must complete an extensive report and return it to the agency; thus, the person must be highly observant during the entire shop. People who are especially entrepreneurial can even start their own business.

4) Advertising with Google. Google offers a free advertising service called Adsense. The person can place an ad sponsored by Google into his or her blog or website. When a visitor clicks an ad, Google pays a certain amount of money back to the person.

5) Affiliate Programs. SFI's EyeEarn is a good example of an affiliate program, where the person displays advertising in return for shared revenue. On the net, numerous websites including some internet service providers and hosting services benefit from paying people to place an ad on their blog or website. Commission Junction is another popular affiliate website.

6) Writing Content on the Net. Numerous websites have launched that allow people to write content and share a cut of the advertising revenue generated from the site. These are called revenue sharing paid content sites. People won't get rich overnight, but given time and a lot of dedication they can earn residual income by writing content on the net. Paid content
