Poetry: Missing life

by Kim Phelps

Created on: February 02, 2009

Mentally lunging forward,

I constantly run in place.

So afraid of being stuck here,

yet too afraid to leave.

Tired of containting my thoughts,

but too tired to speak.

If I told you would you listen?

If I asked you would you help?

It's too easy to judge from your seat,

while my heads swirls out of control.

I want your help

but cannot surrender control.

I want more than this,

but I am afraid to say so.

Humor me,

if just for a second.

I want to feel safe.

I want to be needed.

Complete my sentence

that is always openended.
