By virtue of the fact that the office of President of the United States is the highest political and, indeed, the highest office of any kind that can be held in the United States it stands to reason that the individual holding the office can bring marked change to the country during his or her tenure in office. Obama will most assuredly change the country, but it will certainly not be for the better. This President is, by his own admission, a leftist and a radical liberal. He sought out the company of Marxists and Communists while he was in college, so he is quick to admit in his book, and was fast friends with them. The last time anyone knew for certain these United States were anything but leftist, Marxist or Communist. The man's political stance will fundamentally change the way the United States does the business of running the country and do so for the worse.
Those of his party think differently of course. Those that support him want to see the Federal Government grow to approximately three times it's current size and, as a direct result, become three times less efficient than it already has become. He and his faithful supporters can't wait for the socialized health care packages he wants to create to come into being. Clearly they are all fond of the British idea of having free services the likes of which have created the common British smile complete with it's mouthful of bad, or at least, crooked teeth. They can't wait for the health care system to be run by the same bureaucrats that have brought about the "pork" laden spending bills of past years. His followers want desperately to have the government tell them what they can have treated, by whom and when. In short they want the government that can barely handle itself responsibly to handle their and their children's health. Shear lunacy, madness of the first order.
Those that want to see Obama succeed believe that the foolish offers of small tax incentives to companies for hiring new employees will off set the huge costs of insuring them, until such time as Obama can bring forth his socialized medicine programs, and the cost of paying their salaries. They do no t want to see intelligent courses of action like cutting the capital gains taxes for a time in order to stimulate growth by giving companies money with which to grow their businesses come into being. The President supposes that his ideas about creating jobs in the fields of "Green Energy" will stimulate our economy, but one must wonder to whom
