"Nobody Wins"
Its cold and its lonely, but its all said and done.
The fight has been fought, but who in the battle has really won?
I can lay down my sword, and put away my shield,
disperse of my problems, and watch my sorrows yield.
I regress no more to my ignorant stage,
of yelling and fighting, of uncombated rage.
The tears have all dried, my hands wiped clean,
Yet, through it all, the tainted stains still gleam.
But its over, forgotten, left best at rest,
some quite like cowards, I fell at my best.
I rise and float through the cotton puff clouds,
I see them all waiting in masses, in crowds.
Then my mind flutters off to a dark, grey place.
To my moment of failure, my weakening disgrace.
Had I stopped his entry, had I suspended fate,
then the womb could still hold him, no consumption of hate.
But his will was too strong and intention of stone,
the anger of his voice chilled through to the bone.
Born after me, he was a liberated soul,
never did what was expected, never headed what was told.
His intoxication spoke and fought me away.
It turned the keys and drove him that day.
In pursuit, I followed with a speed faster than light,
chasing in the darkness, lost into the night.
Spinning, screaming, sparks, and glass,
coroners say we went quickly, in the fiery mass.
Now the womb cries for the two it has lost,
love was its wager, its children the cost.
Liqueur had rotted his once lovely soul,
now we both sleep deep of ashes, amidst iron and coal.
I should have stopped pushing, but i couldn't give up the fight,
I was determined to re-instill in him wrong from right.
Many had fought in the battle, then tossed away their swords,
got tired of trying, forgot what they fought for.
Yet, I never gave into his deceptive disease,
I knew he was sick, and intoxication would please.
Now I float in the moist air, of the soft fluffy clouds,
I look, and I look, but my bloods not to be found.
I stand in my judgment, then enter the gate
I search for my blood, I patiently wait.
I had loved, I had lost, and now I was alone,
In the paradise of heaven, in a home uncondoned.
My blood had fought a battle against his own kin,
and this is the conclusion, nobody wins.

If I told you I couldn't catch my breath,
Would you breathe for me,
Or would that be too complicated?
