The road I've traveled has been a long one
Many mountains and hills I've had to climb
The mountaintops were worth the effort
The view from there was so divine
I encountered many friends and loved ones
Helping me focus when I lost my way
Giving me support and gentle guidance
And celebrating the distance marked by each day
If I could map the road for the next traveler
I would not, the unknown is better that way
It helps you do the things that matter
The right road can be taken either way

The journey traveled has been a long road
Frequently carrying a heavy load
Unexpected bends with unforeseen bumps
No choice

The road I've traveled
As I gaze at the long lonely road ahead
I see red taillights that look like a cat with eyes that are
This night is made to lose the things I had today,
I am going away, far, far away, on a different road,

An attitude lived and a lesson unheard.
What's the allure, the gift
