Adolf Hitler.
Born April 20, 1889 Braunau,Austrian.
Domineering father died 1903.
Hitler quit school age 16 due to ill health and poor school wok.
1906 visited Vienna, was not able to gain entry to art school.
1907 mother, who was being treated by Jewish doctor, dies.
Spent 6 destitute years in Vienna, a center of anti-semitism, barely making a living selling post cards and other pieces.

1913 leaves Vienna for Munich to avoid military service. Gets small inheritance from estate of deceased aunt.
1914 enlists in German army at outbreak of World War I.Spent four years in trenches. Wounded 1916. Temporarily blinded by mustard gas 1918.
1920 spies on small German Worker's Party for army. Impressed with anti-semitic and anti-communist stance, he joins and builds party.
1923 leads party in attempt to overthrow government. Arrested, spends nine months of five year sentence in jail writing Mein Kampf.
1932 runs for President and wins enough votes to force way into government.
1933 appointed Chancellor.
1934 become President after death of Hindenburg. Through legislative changes and intimidation he become dictator of Germany. Builds Germany's armed forces.
1938 begins to annex neighboring lands. England and France pursue policy of appeasement.
1939 signs non-aggression pact with Soviet Union. Attacks Poland - the start of World War II.
1941 attacks Soviet Union.
1942 Hitler's physical and mental deterioration sped by defeats on all fronts.
1944 Allies land in France. Shattering defeats on Eastern and Western Fronts.
1945 Germany in ruins. With Soviet forces closing in Hitler marries long time mistress Eva Braun, then commits suicide.
