WINDOW REFLECTIONS
Tall buildings,big windows
Reflect busy, city life.
Little girl skips through the crowd,
Curls bobbing, new dress,
Excitement for a special day.
Crowds around big windows,
Santa hears bold wishes.
Noses press against glass,
Dissonant sounds of Christmas
Celebrate a special day.
Big windows image life,
Tall,blonde girl
Sees herself reproduced
In manikin's wedding dress,
Plans for a special day.
Windows mirror khaki, navy, tan.
Blackout curtains at the top.
Fear and sorrow iin the air.
Couples long for togetherness
Waiting for the special day.
She is imaged in the windows,
Reflecting busy, city life.
Noisy crowds bustle by.
She clutches his medal of honor.
Where is that special day?

Your not even hear to see my eyes.
You had gone away and left me alone.
