In today's world, being conservative, or as the media calls us; "right wing fanatics", it is very hard to write on any subject without being labeled with a number of terms, none of which describes us mentally above a third grade level of education. If I choose to write about most Democrats running for president, I will be labeled as racist, anti-women, anti-Mexican American, or, in the case of John Edwards, anti-hair spray. Let's look at some of the candidates!
In a time of a war with Muslims, how in this world can Barack Obama be getting the attention he is getting? If we ever needed proof that the secular news media is trying to bring down America as we know it, look no farther! But wait, Mr. Obama is black, so anything said about him will be termed as racist, and I would bet the farm that he will play the race card before even the primaries are over. It sure gives me pause that Move On. Org has chosen him as their poster boy this time. Mr. Obama was also educated for a time in Muslim schools. Remember, however, he is black, so be careful what you say!
Can we "right-wingers" say anything about a former first lady? After all, she is a woman, so be careful not to say anything that might stir up the feminists! Don't mention her health care plan, her Democratic love of taxes, or the fact that Bill would be the first "first-husband", a fact that should send every female intern running for cover.
One could fill pages on the people running for president and I fear that is what we will see for the next two years. The office of president is sought in today's world as only a seat of great power, not with the sense of trepidation that a true statesman would feel. We the people are partly to blame as we have made "rock-stars" out of politicans, and, sadly, most people vote on how these folks look and perform in front of the camera, not on the strength of their character. For our children and grandchildren's sake, let's pay a little attention to what they have said and what they say now and find a reason other than how they perform on camera to vote for them.
