Trusting someone can be very hard to do, especially if your someone who has been let down a few too many times. This is oh so common is our society. Can you even trust yourself? Can I trust my self? Well lets find out, shall we.
Some might say that they love and trust there family more than anything in the world. I also love my family. But it seems that for that very reason I can easily be let down them. Family can be great to have around, but at the same time they can really be a pain in the you know what. They are the ones that you trust to pick you up at the airport at a certain time or watch your kids while you go shopping. Well after about a two hour wait in baggage claim, you second guess leaving your children with this person. And I bet there are quite a few people out there still waiting for reimbursement after borrowing money to a family member. Maybe this is just my family. And I bet everyone has that family member who only calls you when they need something, and they know you'll help them, because your family of course. Now I'm not saying you shouldn't love and cherish them, but just be careful before you find yourself depending on them.
Another person people should be able to trust is that special someone, your significant other, your soul mate perhaps. Now first of all I know there are couples out there that rely on each other all the time, thats great for them. But this is not the case for every couple. What about the people who have been cheated on, or the people that have had there deepest secrets gossiped to friends. If your one of these people, you probably have a much harder time with that word trust. Its a wonder why the divorce rate is so unbelievably high. In this day and age, that sacred vow just doesn't say as much as it used to. Before you commit yourself to someone, be sure you truly know and love them for who they are, and that they do the same for you.
Trusting yourself can also be quite a choir sometimes as well. Everyone has done things that they regret or wish they could redo. Everyone has somthing in the past that drives them nuts and will probably have things in the future. The best thing you can do is focus on the good things you have done, the positive side of things, and have confidence in yourself to make good descicions. We are only human. And human nature can sometimes be untrusting itself. So just be selective and cautious when you are trusting someone.
