I have been a Qualified Reflexologist for 14 years, and used it on all ages and types of people. I have found everyone has enjoyed the experience. Many fall asleep during the hour-long treatment. Occasionally the pressure of my fingers can be uncomfortable for the client, especially the first time they have a reflexology treatment. This is not a problem, in fact it helps me to know where the blockages in the body may be. I admit I am still pleasantly surprised when I have felt crystals under the skin of the big toe, and the client reports that yes, he has had headaches, or a stiff neck for example.

Reflexology seems to work especially well for problems such as constipation, headaches, and circulation problems. It is said to help with infertility, and other hormonal imbalances. If there is a problem in working on the feet, the hands or even ears can be used instead. Reflexology is something you can do for yourself, but the full relaxing benefits are better experienced by having a treatment from a qualified Reflexologist. Overall, I believe the biggest benefit of reflexology is the relaxation it brings. Most of us lead busy lives, and to spend an hour having your feet massaged is heavenly. To find it also improves your general health is a bonus!
