What is your favorite beverage?

What's my favorite beverage? Why it's natures most perfect beverage. Water has no calories and will even help you lose weight if you drink enough of it. While there are healthy drinks like fat free milk and orange juice, fat free milk still has calories and orange juice contains a lot of sugar unless you make it yourself. The other disadvantages to juice and milk is that they cost money.

For people who like water but want flavor, there are plenty of varieties of fruit flavored bottled waters out there. I prefer to take some tap water and boil it in a cup. I normally do this at least once a day but I'm trying to drink more. Tap water is free, but it has contaminants and pollutants that should not be drank. Boiling water gets rid of these contaminants and makes the water safe to drink. There is also the option of using water filters, it can get costly fast. I do drink flavored water sometimes and used it for a while to get me used to drinking water but now only drink it once in a while since I'd rather drink plain water and save the money. Even restaurants and fast food places provide free water to their customers so water is free everywhere!

I also like to drink diet soda but am cutting back significantly since the sugar substitutes and artificial colors are not healthy. I also don't like soda since I normally get thirsty soon after drinking it. I also don't like the sticky after taste that soda leaves in your mouth. While soda does taste good, it does not have any nutritional benefits at all. Even diet soda is unnatural and I'm doing my best to keep unnatural substances out of my body.

The great thing about water is that it replaces what your body naturally loses. Water can also help curve your appetite since drinking water tricks your body into thinking that it's full for a little while. Water is great for quenching my thirst and it doesn't leave a sticky aftertaste in my mouth. Water only has three molecules in it being one hydrogen and two oxygen. I can only imagine how many molecules are in other types of beverages. The more molecules a liquid has, the harder it is for the body to break down. Drinking water leaves a person's body with a lot less internal wear and tear.

In the beginning of civilization mankind only had water, wine, and milk to drink. What ever happened to the good old days of just drinking what nature provided us? Why do we even want to put things that are unnatural into our bodies? I care about myself and my body and am doing everything I can to keep it healthy. Therefore, my favorite beverage is always going to be good old water.
