Why Barack Obama may fail

Barack Obama has massive failure potential, because he promised too much! If he thought it meant you would vote for him, he promised you something.

And, the American people are fickle! We have long lived in a world that gave us our cake, and allowed us to eat it, too. And, gave it to us RIGHT NOW! The media liberals that courted Mr. Obama as a darling for the last two years are already beginning to turn and twist, like a wind chime during tornado season in Kansas. They are beginning to keep track of his promise record.

There is no doubt that regardless of the election outcome, the newly elected President was going to face seemingly insurmountable odds. But, the truly unfortunate aspect is that already, Obama is backing off his promises. For an ongoing record of his promises and progress, check out http://promises.nationaljourna l.com.

During their campaign, Barack Obama and Joe Biden made reportedly hundreds of promises to the American public. Healthcare for every American that wants it. Pulling out of Iraq in a matter of months. An economic stimulus package that will cost us all hundreds of billions of dollars, but will make the country prosperous again. No lobbyists working in his Administration. More teachers in the schools. More jobs across America. End racial profiling. Forgive the college loans of all public defenders. Double renewable energy within four years. He also promised to post all bills online before signing them. And on and on and on.

Yes, he'll be able to turn around the economy. But, not in four or even five years. Yes, he will bring the troops out of Iraq. But, they can't necessarily come homehe's going to need to shift them to Afghanistan. Yes, he will expand healthcare, but it could take well into his second term to make it happen. Yes, but.

And, what a sly fellow he is. Did you read that last paragraph? He's already talking about his second term. That is not by mistake, my fellow Americans. He is prepping us, seeding our brains with the thought that he will be elected a second time. For those of us that are not thrilled with the deity status he has been given, and who are still weary from the last two years of campaigning, having to accept it from a man on my payroll for the next four years is an unbearable thought. So, please, Mr. Obama. Don't spend the next four years campaigining for the following four years. Please, just set about the business of keeping your promises. We're all keeping track. And, if you deliver, you won't need to worry about the next term.
