The state of our nation following the Bush administration is so severly distressed, it's hard to fathom how things could possibly get any worse. When President George Bush entered the oval office just eight years ago, our nation was experiencing a strengthening economy for the first time in twelve years, and Bush inherited a $40 billion dollar budget surplus! Leaving the post with a $400 billion dollar deficit is such a phenomenal downturn, it is truly beyond comprehension even for the moderately intellectual individual. The one true milestone President Bush has acomplished for our citizens has been returning our attention to what is going on in the political world. Sadly, President Bush nearly shattered the entire global economy with his unrelenting was efforts which never were clearly defined. Improving such a state of affairs will be no simple feat even with a cooperative effort of this new administration.

Simply marking the end of this tyrannical leadership will be an improvement. Never in history have we seen such unilateral decisiveness, to the point of causing members of his own Republican partisan to renounce their political afiliations. This is the primary change in leadership where Barak Obama has earned much respect in just the first few days of his administration. President Obama does not participate in the all too common art of mud-slinging, nor does he concern himself with laying blame for the problems he has inherited. He has simply taken the oath of office, accepted the work ahead of him, and begun moving forward with poise and confidence. He presents a peaceful demeanor, and he comes across as highly intelligent in the wake of President Bush's unrehearsed speach making.

The economy can only improve with the infusion of the stimulus package, and one can only wonder where these $800 billion dollars have been resting, and why they have not been reinvested into our working capital until now. With all the consumer expenditure, which seems to steadily increase, these funds must be reinfused into consumer markets in order to keep an economy thriving. When our domestic economy is healthy, the rest of the world in turn reaps the rewards. International tensions will surely be eased with a more diplomatic approach to their unrelenting concerns. Not only should we anticipate positive change in our own country, we should anticipate global settling. The world can, and will be a better place; for all of us. Thanks President Obama, for rising to the challange.
