Reflections: My favorite guitar

My Favorite Guitar:

I have had nearly Twenty- Five guitars over the years. I've had Gibson Les Pauls, Fender Strats, Ibanez Customs, Epiphones , Carvins, B.C. Richs, Kramers and many others. The acoustics, Fenders and Hohners were quite delightful. Some I got rid of for rent or traded for some substance or another. With others I got bored with the sound. I have to admit that my current guitar is the greatest I've ever had. It is a Schecter C-1 Classic. It has a mahogany body with a beautiful quilted maple top. The string thru body resonates so well that I knew I wanted it before I even plugged it into an amp. Once I did, the Seymour Duncan JB Humbucker at the bridge gave me the crunch to play any of the metal that I grew up on. The Seymour Duncan SH-2N Jazz pickup on the neck gave me the clean and dirty blues sounds that I had only dreamed of.

With Grover tuners and a Tone Pros tune-amatic bridge tail-piece, I knew I could dial in whatever action and sound that I desired. The bridge and neck keep it in tune until desired. The twenty-four Jumbo frets give me the notes that I need in any song and the balance between speed and substantiality of the neck make it a pleasure to play.

I can get the chunk that I need to out of the bottom end to play Metallica, Korn, My Chemical Romance or even Black Label Society and OZZY. I can get the cleans to play Tesla, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nirvana or Def Leppard. And in between, I have found tones for BB King, Oasis, Coldplay, Pink Floyd and Avenged Sevenfold. This truly is the most versatile guitar that I have ever played or owned. I haven't quite found a way to get a tele sound out of it yet, but I'm confident that I will be able too...

Everything about this piece of wood connects with what I'm trying to do. The gold hardware, the vines-of-life inlays in the maple fingerboard laid over the rosewood neck. Even the Vintage Sunburst finish make this one extreme axe to play. Dokken cleans, Great White themes, Aerosmith Blues and G&R tunes this beast is ready to rock. Even thru heavy distortion the Schecter C-1 Classic is crisp and clear. It is some thing to hear, but it is even more to play. Rock on to Hotel California, the speed to play Fade- to- Black and the Clarity to play the Dark Side of The Moon. The Schecter C-1 Classic. The most versitile guitar that I have ever played is the Shecter C-1 Classic. Let's Rock!
