Makeup tips: The best foundation recommendations

All women are on a search for their own personal holy grail when it comes to foundation. Maybe your skin is oily, or dry, or you may even have combination skin, there is a foundation out there for you. Let's face it, the chances of you having perfect skin are worse than the odds of you winning the lottery. We all have something to complain about when it comes to our face; discoloration, fine lines and wrinkles, blotchiness, sun spots, etc. Some of us have tried a few foundations and some of us have tried more than we can count. So lets get down to what's out there, and what will work for our skin.

The easiest way to start is to figure out what skin type you are, and the amount of coverage your looking for; light, medium, full or even buildable depending on your mood.

For those of you with dry skin, who only want light coverage a tinted moisturizer is the way to go. The best tinted moisturizer is amazingly one of the cheapest; Covergirl. Their tinted moisturizer is light, yet moisturizing and evens out skin tone enough for day or night wear. Best of all you can get it at your local drug store for under $5.

The best liquid foundation I have ever used hands down is also a drug store find; Revlon Colorstay. It comes in two formulas; one for dry skin and one for oily. This foundation is blendable, its color stays true, and it really does stay put all day long. The amount of coverage with Colorstay is completely up to you, apply it once for light to medium coverage and keep adding more depending on the look you want. Another great plus is that it's good enough to use as a concealer also.

And my all time favorite; loose powder mineral foundation. I love this stuff. Since it's a powder you never need to worry about streaking, or that line at your jaw where you can see the makeup stop and your skin begin. It also doubles as a concealer. The coverage level is totally dependent upon your preference, which can change daily, and it's super quick. My two favorites, because I can't pick one or the other are; Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals, and Everyday Minerals. Both the brands are top quality, and last forever. Bare Minerals is more expensive and can cause breakouts if you suffer from acne. However, the finish is beautiful and natural looking. Everyday Minerals are significantly cheaper, however they can only be bought online at everydayminerals.com They offer a huge selection of colors, and four different finishes depending on your needs and wants.

I hope this was helpful for all of you looking for the perfect foundation.
