A mother's guide for online college

The truth is that attending a college online can be great. Many people who are college age tend to have jobs and other responsibilities. When people have multiple responsibilities, it is beneficial to have a flexible schedule for learning and for fun. Their are many differences and one should research before they settle on any old name they have seen flashing on-line or on their television screen.

Some of the benefits to attending college on line is being able to work from the leisure of your home, a friend's house, while traveling or virtually anywhere you have an internet connection. If you are a parent and your kids are sick, you won't have to miss your class to miss class to tend to that responsibility. You can connect with people from all over the world through the classes you take. Taking online courses are a refreshing chage from running into a class after fixing a flat time and having a professor to say that you can't enter his class-even though you paid for it, because you are too late.

This is a new era. In this time and age, many people have multiple responsibilities: family, kids, full-time employment, leagues and professional organizations. With only 24 hours in a day. Cutting out the thirty minute drive to and from a campus and the traffic suffrage, you start off ahead of the game. Think about cleaning the house, washing the clothes, buying and preparing food, paying bills, etc., etc. How did we ever fit these things into our lives before the technological age?

When you attend college online, you can be employed day or night. You can travel at will and still get your assignment in. You can get married, go on a honey moon and not miss a beat in your on-line class. The coolest thing is no dorm fees. If your family is unable to spring for a car for you there will be no buses for you! Ha! So, you this this is a no-brainer.

Beware, some universities use software that causes you to only be able to access your online work from one computer. Other universities have systems that allow you access from any computer anywhere. Some of the schools want you to log in at certain times of day while others just want you the meet the requirements without stipulations such as logging in at a specific clock hour. Check with the better business bureau and college credentialing agencies to make sure you are making the best online choice. Attending college at all is a smart choice. Make time to do the research and you could end up sitting pretty.
