Poetry: High school

by Robin Kibodeaux

Created on: January 30, 2009

Trendy clothes everyday

Hair and make up done

Have to do this, so they say

And they won't make fun

Arrive at school

Can't be late

Must be cool

To set your fate

Not too loud

Not too shy

Blend with the crowd

Always say hi

Can't be a nerd

Can't be a spaz

Follow the herd

Not too much pizzazz

Nerds are picked on

Spazes are laughed at

Can't be that pawn

Don't want to be like that

Kids are mean

Their judgements cruel

How you are seen

Makes you cool

Only one flaw

One mistake

Says Highschool law

Seals your fate

If you're too chubby

If you're too shy

If your shoes are crummy

Even if you cry

If you're too tall

If your smile isn't straight

If you don't shop at the mall

If you don't have a date

If your hair is too curley

If your skirt is too long

Highschool will surely

Drag you along

To some the ride is quick

And some the ride is long

Some do the trick

And for some all goes wrong
