You walk into the room and your wife breaks another nail on the keyboard as she whips the mouse across the screen, slamming shut the virtual window. Third nail this month, and she blames you for sneaking up on her. You leave the room feeling like the rocking chair your cat belly-drags past, wondering why the wife has been so wired lately. Probably just working too hard. She sure has been banging away at the computer. You hope your wife's boss appreciates her dedication. You hope he does not take her for granted. But most of all, you pray he is not taking your wife.

Nervousness at the computer is but one of a myriad of signs your wife might be cheating. Another telltale sign is a sudden onset of modesty. In the past, your wife would sashay through the house wearing nothing but a thong and a smile. Now she dons full-length flannel and a frown. Besides covering flesh, flannel presents other difficulties, and on the rare occasion when the wife is ready to shed in bed, you are surprised to find she has added new positions and techniques to her risqu repertoire. Do not get too excited, those pleasant surprises might not have come from Cosmo, they may have been brought home from another man's bed.

Your wife has never questioned your fidelity. Your loyalty has been beyond reproach. Suddenly, every woman you know is a suspect. She accuses you of bopping your secretary, the neighbor, and your best friend's sister. A guilty mind's eye is a green-eyed monster, and another sign that your wife may be cheating on you.

You notice your wife now has more family heirloom jewelry than she has family members. You bought her the ruby pendant and the marquise diamond ring, but the rest of the bling is as unfamiliar to you as the stuffed Beanie Babies and other whatnots scattered throughout the house. Come to think of it, when did she ever buy a Beanie Baby?

Another sign your wife might be cheating on you is when a chronic illness suddenly afflicts her best friend. The poor thing cannot ever bathe herself. Being the good friend that she is, your wife spends most of her free time taking care of her, even going so far as occasionally spending the night at her house. The illness goes undiagnosed and the doctors are baffled.

Another couple you know is splitting up because of an extramarital affair. Your wife overreacts, berating the cheating spouse unmercifully. You realize she reacts the same way at the movies when the lead character steps outside the marriage.

If your wife exhibits one of the signs listed above, do not rush to judgment. Maybe her friend is sick. Sometimes people like to spice up their lovemaking with new positions. However, if she displays several signs, consider the fact that your wife may be cheating on you.
