Black. Light.
Heavy eyelids are
the shades being drawn over
a white lotus land
where
nocturnal fireflies
are Chinese flying angels
in lanterns at night
and
static electric
sparks are bright blankets of heat
lightning in the dark.
Here,
meteorites and
palindrome constellations
are seen in blackness
and
the end of the day
is a pearl nightgown hanging
on half of the world.
