Sanctuary

It's odd, I think,

Looking at this rhyme,

That all in a blink,

A flash can end time.

One person, one mind,

No point to a life.

Two people, one kind,

You can get through the strife.

A dark secret can

Change you, if you get it.

The camera will pan

If you should let it.

Life will keep going,

Loves getting older.

People keep growing,

The weak getting bolder.

This may all seem weird;

You may wonder if I'm crazy.

But as I write this, I tear

Because nothing's hazy.

You may find this strange;

It used to bug me.

But these things don't change,

And finally, I see.

You could move on

If you just try to let it.

Life will go on;

Don't try to get it.

It's odd, I think,

Looking at this rhyme,

One paper, one pen,

Words written down.

And as this life ends,

I've finally found.

It'll all change,

But you'll find

Nothing's strange

Inside your mind.
